History

The development history of directional sound started when scientist invented the omnidirectional speakers in 1915.

There were many attempts to invent the speaker which would allow the directional sound distribution back in 20th century, whereas a lot of outstanding movements with classic acoustic speakers were achieved. With various technological approaches the classic speakers were able to direct the sound better, but the result was not 100% satisfactory.

Breakthrough in the approach to achieve directional sound distribution was achieved in 1998, when Joe Pompei presented functional ultrasonic directional speaker. It was a complete revolution and breakdown of the known barriers in the approach to the production of directional sound, since it works as a sound laser.

The potential of this new revolutionary ideas is now used by other directional speakers manufacturers, who started the quest for finding the best solution.

Currently there are many technological approaches on the market available, whereas every manufacturer consider theirs to be genuine.
